Why do we use the biomass vs extracts?

NDS® MUSHROOM BIOMASS has many advantages compared to extracts, concentrates, freeze-dried and wild collected mushrooms

+ Full preservation of the active substances in their natural and complete conditions

+ Mushroom biomass has a wide range of substances, up to approx. 400 where extracts remove many of these.

+ The many substances, including enzymes, work together for the benefit of the whole as fungi. In nature, the fungi collaborate with the roots of other plants so that they receive nutrients and provide better bio-availability through the minerals in the soil for example.

+ Mushrooms are very metabolically active and in order to form these many bio-active substances, both polysaccharides (including β-glucans) and a multitude of secondary metabolites, have a high enzyme activity, which should be preserved in the finished product, for the benefit of humans – which is what it is in the NDS mushroom supplement. Enzymes become inactivated by heating, and the NDS series is not heated.
